Rila Institute of health Sciences now offers postgrad medical courses in four International hubs

The Rila Institute of Health Sciences is now providing postgraduate Medical courses for suitably qualified healthcare professionals in four major centres around the world: the British capital, London; Delhi and Pune in India; and the thriving United Arab Emirate of Dubai.

The specially designed courses are intended to boost medical professionals’ careers by providing enhanced knowledge and skills they can use in their clinical practices. All the Rila postgraduate medical courses are accredited by relevant medical organisations and recognised by employers across the healthcare field.

Specialist areas of study being offered in London include Cardiology, Diabetes and ENT, as well as Family Medicine, Dermatology, Musculoskeletal Medicine, Minor surgery, Urology and Ophthalmology. Cardiology is provided to students in Delhi while the Pune hub is focused on Diabetes and Family Medicine. Dubai students have a choice between Cardiology, Family Medicine and Dermatology.

Additionally, the Rila Institute also runs short courses in London: Stroke Management and The Certification in The Management of the Altered Airway (Tracheostomy/Laryngectomy). The latter Certification is also available in Dubai. These short courses typically take three months to complete and are delivered through a blended learning process of face to face, online and interactive session, ending in a final summative examination.

The postgraduate courses being provided at the four global hubs begin at different times of the year: mostly in September in London, with an occasional course starting there in early October; and in September and November in the two Indian cities and in Dubai.

The courses get underway with an two days of introductory workshop involving lectures and hands-on experience. Online learning and assessments must also be done, via the Rila Institute’s website, and each course ends with a final written summative examination.

The Rila Institute has a number of requirements before accepting new students, including a high level of English proficiency, as all courses are taught in English. Some applicants may have to provide proof of their proficiency by submitting their test scores.

Applicants will also need to have a relevant medical qualification e.g. MBBS. Doctors with a BHMS are accepted onto the courses in India and Dubai.
