Rila produces a range of CPD and CME journals accredited for CPD/CME by the appropriate Royal Colleges and National speciality Associations.
- Among these are titles relating to medical specialities including Anaesthesia, Acute Medicine, Cancer Medicine, Clinical Biochemistry, Geriatric Medicine and Otorhinolaryngologist, and also Clinical Focus Primary Care (the official journal of the Association of Practitioners with Special Interests).
- Each journal contains an assessment comprised of Higher Order Thinking questions related to the editorial content and a link to the Rila Institute of Health Sciences website allowing the assessment to be completed online. Automatic marking then allows the generation of a certificate confirming CPD/CME participation and progress.
- Rila has also developed ten nationally accredited postgraduate diplomas for practicing GPs and nurses, validated by Middlesex University. Subjects include Cardiology, Diabetes and Endocrinology, ENT, Minor Surgery, Ophthalmology and Urology. Courses run for one academic year, and are delivered by a mixture of face to face teaching, resource based learning via the internet, and local clinical placement.
