Postgraduate Courses
- In 2000, Rila Institute of Health Sciences developed the first University and Royal College of General Practitioners approved Postgraduate Diploma in ENT for General Practitioners.
- Since then, in response to the UK government policy of promoting the concept of Practitioners with Special Interests to reduce pressure on hospitals, Rila has developed a further nine nationally accredited postgraduate diplomas for practicing GPs and Nurses, validated by The University of Westminster (PGDip Cardiology, PGDip Diabetes and Endocrinology, PGDip Minor Surgery, PGDip Musculoskeletal Medicine, PGDip Family Medicine and PGDip Urology) and Middlesex University (PGDip ENT and PGDip Ophthalmology).
- Most of courses run over one academic year, and are delivered by a combination of face to face teaching, online resource-based learning via the internet, and local clinical placement. More details available on: www.gpcourses.co
- Originally only available in the UK, Rila Institute of Health Sciences now also offers the Cardiology and Diabetes and Endocrinology courses in India, with content customised to ensure maximum local relevance.
- Rila Institute of Health Sciences also offers shorter courses in many of these subjects leading to an accredited award, e.g. in Atrial Fibrillation, Stroke Management, Dermatology, etc.
